Interweave Knits Favourite Socks Meida by Nancy Bush (page 69)

Cable, can you see how tight they are, thankfully they are part of a 72 stitch sock.
It just happened! Posh Yarn Emily x 4.
Yearn, Mist, Languish and Haiku

2 weeks today.

Better raid a bank or someones wallet!

Have fought with 5 x 2.25mm DPNS and a cable needle this morning on the train. Won’t be doing that again.

NOT the ones you get with your Fish and Chips, maybe thats a Northern thing?

Michaela has asked if anyone would like to donate 4″ squares knitted from 4ply sock yarn towards a blanket, which she will sew together and then raffle for Olivers Fund.

As you may know, I knit socks. So I have lots of little balls of yarn that I don’t know what to do with, or don’t wish to do anything with.

So what better cause.

Mountain of Manos

Manos Del Uruguay 100% Wool

I want to knit one of these.

Which takes 2 skeins!

Do you think I have enough?

Don’t look at this on an empty stomach

A certain person in this house has been having a clear out, he is now at work so can’t be berated for this find. I have much, much, much smaller glasses now, really, I think these could make 4 of my current ones. In fact I think these are actually car windscreens. I have also realised the error of frilly blouses!

Circa 1989 so I don’t mind you seeing this one.

Sorry but another little rant, Short Row heels. Yes, I don’t learn and have tried again. In fact I am very proud of these which I started and finished on my journey home.

The problem is the join back onto the foot… big was that hole. Am now going to spend the next hour trying to find a solution then they get a proper heel flap.

Pay It Forward Exchange

I’ve been reading about the Pay It Forward exchange on a few blogs, and have signed up on Gilraen’s blog. Here’s the deal:

It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. You all know I’m already a PIF type of person. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.

My usual readers appear to be signed up so if there is anyone else out there interested you are more than welcome.

Cup of Tea?

Clapotis to be precise.
I am one step closer, yarn has just been delivered from this lovely Etsyite.

4 Skeins of 100% Merino Worsted weight yarn in Offshore. Dyed especially for me, what service. Free stitchmarkers too although I believe more than 4 will be needed for this project!

I am surely the last person to do one of these, the pattern is from 2004. May be a few weeks before cast on but I hope to get it done this side of Christmas. Ooops mentioned that word.
