NOT the ones you get with your Fish and Chips, maybe thats a Northern thing?

Michaela has asked if anyone would like to donate 4″ squares knitted from 4ply sock yarn towards a blanket, which she will sew together and then raffle for Olivers Fund.

As you may know, I knit socks. So I have lots of little balls of yarn that I don’t know what to do with, or don’t wish to do anything with.

So what better cause.

Yes, Scraps are a Northern thing – but it seems to be more specific than that as the Chip Shops in Cheshire don’t do them. My son loves them but he only gets them in Yorkshire Chip Shops (oh and Cleveland/Teesside ones aswell).

  2. We called them scribblings back home in Devon. That’s if you’re talking about the little bits of pure fatty batter that taste soooooo good!

Oh Crump, I’ve only done one square and you’ve done loads!!

I’d best put down this monkee and do some more!

  3. Oh and by the way, thanks for the link šŸ™‚

And I too had HUGE glasses like that and I had the nerve to post a picture of them. Well done you!

  4. Those bags look like they are full of sweets šŸ™‚

  5. Scraps! We used to go to the chippie and ask for just a bag of scraps when we were little. Sometimes they would indulge us and we would have a feast – other times we were told to b*gger off šŸ™‚
